Chalkboard sign at a local pub, The Salt Hill Pub.  Read that first line very carefully...  I wonder.  Is that a misspelling in the first line or do they really mean it?

I suppose every couple has "their" private joke.  Mine and Earl's is a family of rubber duckies.  There's a long story that goes with it, but the outcome is that from time to time, one or more of the rubber duckies is hidden for the other to find in the most unlikely places, such as this coffee basket.  A second was in with the mugs, and a third was in the microwave.  The remainder of the family sat on their shelf, wondering where everyone else went to.

A heavy snowfall covers our boulder boundary marker, a flowering tree of unknown-to-me species, and my meditation bell in a blue-white morning.

Earl spotted this opossum in our back yard this morning, drinking the water that we pump up from our wet  cellar and eating the snow.  I can't tell you the last time I saw one of these; I didn't know they were this far north.

One of our favorite activities is to visit local antique shops to see what treasures we can discover.  This Saturday, we found this pair of seafoam green Fiestaware cups and saucers.   Here they are all washed up and ready to be dried and tucked away safely.  I just love them.

Meet Molly (Molly-Molly-Liscious!).  She's just about a year old, now I think.  Earl is definitely her favorite.  It's he that she wants to cuddle up with and makes the big eyes for.  As for me, well, I'm just here to open and close doors for her, and give her breakfast.  Other than that, I'm persona non grata.
